Sous Chef – Modern British Fine Dining 50k
Lead the section in a 3-Rosette kitchen dedicated to seasonal British produce and creative tasting menus.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Sous Chef for a prestigious, privately-owned restaurant in Cheltenham. This is a key role within a dedicated brigade, producing exceptional modern British cuisine in an award-winning setting.
The Restaurant:
• 3-Rosette modern British fine dining
• Focus on hyper-seasonal menus and premium ingredients.
• 80-cover restaurant with a private Chef's Table
• Offers à la carte, 7-course tasting menus, and afternoon tea
• Stable, privately-owned business with a passionate team
The Sous Chef Role:
• Work alongside the Head Chef and lead the brigade of 8
• Take ownership of a section and contribute to menu development
• Manage kitchen operations during busy periods, including race days
• Ensure the highest standards of consistency and presentation
• Mentor junior chefs and foster a positive, creative environment
The Ideal Sous Chef:
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a 2-Rosette or Michelin-standard kitchen
• Expert knowledge of modern British fine dining and premium ingredients
• Strong leadership skills with a desire to mentor and develop a team
• Creative, passionate, and dedicated to culinary excellence
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
