Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Maths and English Tutor to support a young learner transitioning into Year 10 in the Havant area. This role is for 6 hours per week, focusing on Functional Skills Maths and English, with the aim of building both academic ability and personal confidence.
As a Tutor you will:
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons tailored to the learner's needs.
* Support the development of core Maths and English skills aligned with Functional Skills standards.
* Instil confidence, motivation, and a positive attitude towards learning.
* Create a safe, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
* Monitor progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
About you:
* Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and English (Functional Skills or KS3/KS4 level).
* Ability to design creative and learner-focused lesson plans.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to education.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
