HGV Technician - Glasgow (Day/Back Shift) Salary: From £18.55 per hour, overtime 1.5 / 2 x salary £47-55k
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (2 weeks early, 1 week back), every 3rd Saturday
Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a fresh opportunity with a forward-thinking business that values your expertise? We're looking for someone with the skills and drive to take ownership of servicing and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles in a clean, warm and fully equipped environment.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday Day/Back shift 6am - 3.30pm / 1pm - 10.30pm (Friday backshift 9.30am -7pm) (2 weeks early one week back), every 3rd Saturday 6am -2pm.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out service, maintenance, and repair work on a mixed fleet - predominantly HGVs, with some trailers
* Completing MOT preparation and presentation work
* Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently
* Ensuring accurate documentation using online systems (job cards, service sheets etc.)
* Working to a “Right First Time” standard to maintain service quality
* Operating with a focus on health, safety, and compliance at all times
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV Repair & Maintenance
* At least 2 years of post-qualified experience working as an HGV Technician
* Confident diagnosing and repairing both trucks and trailers
* A valid UK driving licence
* Good communication skills and a self-motivated attitude
* Some basic IT skills - helpful for using internal job logging systems
* A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail

* Competitive hourly rate starting at £18.55 - increases available with IRTEC and specialist double-deck certifications
* Regular hours: Monday to Friday (47.5 hours per week), alternating day/back shift
* Overtime paid at 1.5x (over 45 hours and Saturdays), 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays
