Pay: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Benefits: 25 days Annual leave, plus BH’s and 1 additional day to celebrate birthday, 5% matched pension, UNUM – Critical illness insurance & DIS – 3x Annual Salary
Hours: Mon – Thurs 8am - 5.15pm, Friday 8am - 12pm.

As a Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for managing all procurement activities, working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the efficient timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.

Job Description:
Communication & Safety: Lead daily team meetings to communicate objectives and SQCDP updates. Maintain open communication with customers, suppliers, and leadership. Ensure adherence to safety policies, perform regular audits, and drive accident prevention through collaboration with H&S teams.
Quality & Vendor Management: Establish and implement a vendor qualification system with performance tracking to reduce issues and maintain high standards in quality, cost, and reliability.
Cost & Supply Chain Efficiency: Introduce agile supply chain practices (e.g. JIT, Kanban, VMI) to reduce inventory by 15% within 12 months, improve availability, and cut lead times by 20%.
Delivery & Planning: Collaborate with management to enhance contract review and planning processes, improving material availability, stock levels, and overall delivery performance.
People Development & Performance: Build purchasing team capability through training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Drive engagement and continuous improvement via SQCDP, 5S, Kaizen, and skill gap analysisPurchasing Manager
Essential Experience:
This role is a site-based role, 5 days a week
Extensive experienced as a Purchasing Manager or similar
A deep understanding and experience of Supply Chain processes
Experience in a Manufacturing environment ideally Electronics
