The Power Transmission Project Operations section is responsible for execution of the turnkey and offshore projects within the business groupThe Project Manager role is the operational head of a defined project or package, organized in the Projects section and acting as responsible for one or more projectsFirst level of escalation from the project manager is the Project Director or to an appointed management representative, for supervision. The formal head above the PM is the leader of the steering committee. The project charter for the projects are listing the responsibilitiesThe matrix organization of the project management requires good communication and information at the interface between vertical and horizontal axisThe team is spread between several locations – and may support execution activities ongoing in different plants and sitesThe Job Description, or parts of it, may be used for temporary roles in specific projectsA project manager is expected to be capable of heading our standard EPC and EPCI projectsPurposeManage the assigned project(s) and ensure project(s) are delivered on time, on budget, with the required quality and within agreed specifications and in compliance with agreed HSE standardsProvide input to allocated tenders – or contribute in other defined management tasks requiring project approachMission spesificResponsibility for scoping, tendering and managing multiple marine subcontracts, such as diving, route preparation, flexible/ cable product installation, trenching and rockdumping. Experience of managing manufacturing contracts such as umbilicals, flexible or rigid flowlines would be an advantage. General – PM role:Overall management of the assigned project(s), including – but not limited to – the following:Ensure that project(s) are executed in line with the mandate given - according to Contract requirements and Clients as well as internal expectations (QHSER, sales, cost, margin, cash, time, phasing)Effective use of the Project Model and internal procedures, including profitability requirementsManage a geographically spread project team organizationEnsure adequate use of tools, processes and procedures for project executionEnsure effective use of the resources within the team and in cooperation with the departments, disciplines and internal units to meet internal and external requirements/obligationsAccountable for the profit and loss performance within the assigned project scope.Tender Process Assistance:Provide input upon request to allocated tenders for aspects relating to Project ManagementTake a temporary role in the tender team if requiredTake active part in the DICs / IDCs / risk assessmentsProject Execution:Obtain an as optimal project execution as possible in accordance with the Project Model, including identifying and managing risks and opportunitiesOrganize and lead the project in order to achieve the best possible co-operation between the involved units and team membersEnsure effective use of the resources to meet internal and external requirements – also taking people management in prioritiesBe overall responsible for intercompany agreements and dedicated sub-contractsReport to Client according to Contract requirementsFor more info, do not hesitate to get in touch!
