Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑focused Laboratory Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the Fordham facility near Ely. This hands‑on role is primarily structured around 70‑80% day‑to‑day admin with 20‑30% focused on supporting projects and unpredictable tasks that require initiative and problem‑solving.
Responsibilities
You’ll be a vital part of keeping our operations running smoothly, managing essential admin tasks and jumping in when unexpected priorities arise.
Core admin responsibilities (70‑80% of your time)
* Provide administrative support to maintain regulatory compliance.
* Process customer invoices accurately and on time.
* Maintain and update customer records in our CRM system.
* Handle routine client communications via phone and email.
* Order supplies and manage deliveries.
* Create automated reports to track operational and business performance.
Project based and ad hoc work (20‑30% of your time)
* Support the Supplement and RCTG teams with specific admin tasks.
* Support document archiving processes.
* Cover reception and switchboard when needed.
* Organise hospitality and logistics for customer visits and meetings.
Qualifications
* Strong organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks at once.
* Pay close attention to detail when entering data, managing documents or preparing reports.
* Communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and over the phone.
* Confident using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
* Have experience in a busy admin reception or customer‑facing role (lab or office environment preferred).
* Can work independently and take initiative especially when handling small projects.
