Locum Specialist Physiotherapist

Job Summary:
1. Join the children's integrated physiotherapy and occupational therapy team.
2. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team within complex needs services and social services.
3. Provide specialist physiotherapy for patients aged 0-19 years.
4. Develop, implement, and evaluate individual treatment programs.
Main Duties:
5. Gain consent and conduct physiotherapy assessments.
6. Clinically diagnose and formulate treatment plans.
7. Treat complex patients while respecting their choice, privacy, and dignity.
8. Manage a defined clinical caseload and work as a member of the MDT with indirect supervision.
9. Supervise Band 5 physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students.
10. Operate as an autonomous practitioner, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
11. Provide support and guidance to more junior staff.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Essential:
17. Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
18. Registered with HCPC.
19. Evidence of CPD and advanced clinical reasoning in Paediatrics.
20. Specialist knowledge in anatomy and physiology.
21. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
22. Ability to work autonomously and motivate a team.
23. Flexible and able to work in a stressful environment.
Desirable:
24. Postgraduate training in relevant clinical areas (e.g., CPIPS-UK, GIOBS).
25. Previous senior role experience and audit involvement.
26. Teaching, supervisory, and appraisal experience.
