The Team

The Chinese Category team collaborates with UKI Commercial teams to enhance Deliveroo’s performance across four UKI nations. We focus on local markets from Brighton to Belfast. As part of this team, you will recruit top Chinese restaurants in Birmingham and surrounding regions, reporting to the London Chinese Category Client Partner.


The Role

This role offers an opportunity to grow within a competitive market by building relationships with new Chinese restaurant partners, enhancing our service for customers, and supporting our rapid growth. It is ideal for someone passionate about relationship-building.

Note: A valid driving license and access to a car are preferred, as travel within Birmingham and nearby areas is required. This role involves significant travel and is not office-based.


Responsibilities

1. Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partnerships in your region, focusing on emerging and popular establishments.
2. Communicate with restaurants via visits, emails, calls, and social media in Mandarin to demonstrate Deliveroo’s technology.
3. Manage the onboarding process to ensure efficiency and speed.
4. Support restaurant success within the first eight weeks of partnership.
5. Sample food from high-quality establishments and attend industry meet-ups.


KPIs

* Number of new restaurants signed monthly.
* Performance of onboarded restaurants in their first three months.


Required Skills

* Fluency in Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
* Comfortable approaching new businesses and negotiating win-win deals.
* Understanding of food delivery economics for restaurants and Deliveroo.
* Excellent communication skills across various channels.
* Ability to demonstrate product and industry knowledge.
* Ownership mentality and ability to meet demanding targets.
* Interest in food and restaurants.
* Motivated, tenacious, and results-oriented.
