Reporting to the Lead Consultant, this Technician role is in the Policy and Resource Management team, within Roads and Transportation Services.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support and assist in the management of Fife’s roads assets, ensuring it is fit for purpose, safe for road users and that its condition is managed, maintained and improved in line with the Roads Asset Management Plan.
The role aims to ensure the delivery of safe, sustainable, and customer-focused solutions, contributing to continuous improvement and effective service delivery.

The Person
You should be educated to SCQF level 6, which includes SVQ 3 in relevant subject, or Highers or equivalent.
In addition, you must be able to demonstrate:
1. Good communication skills and experience dealing with members of the public and internal/external bodies.
2. Experience of preparing information for dissemination.
3. Time management skills and working to deadlines.
4. Ability to work with large volumes of data.
5. Some understanding of road asset management and finance practices.
