Role Overview

This is a full-time role in the Admissions Team in Cambridge. The post holder will process direct student enquiries and applications, issue visa-supporting paperwork accurately and promptly, and ensure smooth pre-arrival processes for all new students. The role requires providing a fast, efficient, and welcoming service to customers (internal and external), proactively pursuing student recruitment and conversion. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and organisation skills, who can build relationships quickly and collaborate with colleagues from the CATS Global Sales Teams, overseas offices, and colleges. The role is hybrid, with a minimum requirement to be in the central Cambridge Head Office two days per week. Occasional weekend work may be required during peak periods with prior notice and agreement. From time to time, there may be project work as directed by the Head of Admissions.


Reports To

You will be directly responsible to the Senior Admissions Officer.


Key Responsibilities

1. Process direct student applications from initial enquiry to arrival, ensuring turnaround times and accuracy within agreed standards.
2. Take overall responsibility for an area within the department and manage aspects of the Admissions process, engaging with the CATS Global Sales Team for conversion campaigns as required.
3. Act as the Admissions specialist for the assigned area and maintain relationships with relevant external stakeholders.
4. Provide support for other areas within the Admissions Team, including cover for the Senior Admissions Officer during absences and busy periods.
5. Provide assistance and training support to the Agent Services Team in Hong Kong to help the team meet agreed targets.
6. Prepare accurate paperwork, including offer packs, pre-arrival information and UK/US visa supporting documents (CAS, I-20, COE).
7. Proactively manage pre-arrival processes for new students in collaboration with college teams, ensuring accurate visa and arrival information and delivering excellent customer service.
8. Maintain the accuracy and completeness of student databases and agent information for internal and external compliance purposes.
9. Support new system development and business projects as directed by the Line Manager.
10. Maintain positive relations with colleagues across the CATS Global Schools Group and a good working knowledge of relevant admissions software, processes and databases.
11. Maintain knowledge of the CATS Global Schools Group portfolio of colleges, courses and entry requirements to provide accurate advice to applicants, and stay informed on compliance issues including UKVI, SEVIS, OfSTED, OfS, UCAS and other industry requirements.


Person Specification

Education
Educated to A level or above.

Experience
Experience with CRM systems/customer databases is desirable. Experience in a global business and/or education environment and experience in a distance sales environment are desirable. Knowledge of the UKVI Points Based System and US SEVP is desirable.

Skills
Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines. High professionalism and excellent customer service. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, cultural awareness, and competence with Microsoft Office. Ability to speak a foreign language is desirable.
