Responsibilities
* Conducting field surveys in diverse landscapes with a focus on protected species and habitats.
* Preparing detailed technical reports, such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRAs).
* Designing and implementing mitigation strategies that integrate ecological needs with development goals.
* Providing expert advice and ecological input to clients, planners, and other stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
* Solid understanding of ecological principles, UK wildlife legislation, and best practices.
* Experience in field survey techniques and ecological data analysis.
* Membership or eligibility for membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
* Protected species licences (e.g., bats, great crested newts) are highly desirable.
* Full UK driving licence to support travel to fieldwork locations.
