Your Role
As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care
* Monitoring the suitability and competence of Foster Parents
* Providing regular supervision in line with FCA's Operational Standards
* Collaborating with the child's network to identify needs and resources
* Ensuring compliance with key documentation for children and Foster Parents
* Participating in out-of-hours support and day duty systems
* Conducting initial home visits and Form F assessments
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you must have:
* A Social Work qualification
* Professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
* Strong report writing skills
* A solid understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
* The ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
* A full driving license
