Audio Visual Permanent Installations Project Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically minded Project Manager to join a leading provider of Audio Visual installation solutions. This is a key role within the company's Installations Division, responsible for overseeing end-to-end project delivery — from initial client consultation through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This position focuses primarily on corporate and university installations, so prior experience delivering AV projects within these environments will be particularly advantageous. You'll act as a central point of contact between clients, the internal project team, and on-site installation engineers, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.
About You
You'll be a well-rounded professional with a strong background in Audio Visual systems, project management, and client liaison. You'll thrive on seeing projects through from design to delivery and will have a deep understanding of AV integration, installation processes, and modern technologies. You will likely come from an AV integration, systems installation, or technical production background, bringing both technical insight and commercial awareness to your work. Experience working within corporate offices, higher education facilities, or multi-room environments is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
* Conduct detailed site surveys, producing accurate reports and documentation for proposals
* Assess client requirements and design effective, reliable AV solutions in line with company standards
* Specify equipment and collaborate with internal teams on proposals, quotes, and technical documentation
* Prepare and manage all project-related documents, including RAMS, drawings, and project schedules
* Oversee installation scheduling, logistics, and on-site coordination to ensure smooth project delivery
* Provide technical support both remotely and on-site as required
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and technologies through ongoing training
* Support the wider installation team with equipment preparation, testing, and quality assurance prior to dispatch
* Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure seamless communication between sales, operations, and engineering teams
Experience & Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in AV installation project management or a related technical role
* Solid understanding of AV systems design and installation (e.g., display, audio, control, conferencing, signal distribution)
* Experience producing and managing project documentation (RAMS, schematics, schedules, etc.)
* Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
* IOSH or similar health and safety certification advantageous
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend client sites as needed
