Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor

Overview
As a Functional Assessor you will work autonomously to assess the cases of claimants who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit, as part of the DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). The funding helps support individuals to live as much of an independent life as possible. You will be completing assessments with individuals who have a broad range of health conditions, with some assessments conducted remotely.

Responsibilities
* Use your clinical experience to work with people with diverse health conditions to understand how their challenges and disability affect daily life
* Work within office and home settings to complete detailed, meaningful, and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face
* Interpret medical evidence and gather findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making
Requirements
* We can only accept applications from Occupational Therapists for this vacancy
* HCPC registration is required
* You must have at least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential
* Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and IT competency
