Overview
Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Process Engineer (Water Non Infrastructure) to join us as part of our @one Alliance. Location: Peterborough, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
* Undertake process design of water/wastewater treatment plants and/or sewerage/water systems that align with Anglian Water goals for customers, environment, and efficiency. Produce technical deliverables including technical schedules and data sheets.
* Perform engineering calculations (hydraulic calculations, pump calculations, mass balance calculations, RICS calculations, etc.).
* Create particular specifications for engineering subcontracts.
* Collaborate with the supply chain and perform technical bid analysis of their designs.
* Oversee key outputs including process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, data sheets, and technical bid analysis of third-party process equipment.
* Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure delivery of technical excellence.
* Escalate issues that may impact time, cost, or quality before they become problems or exceed agreed timescales.
* Support the drive towards excellence in H&S, producing safe designs in line with CDM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice.
* Maintain close links with other engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines; manage gaps/overlaps and share best practice.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in water/wastewater process science/engineering or related subject with experience in process engineering in water/wastewater and biosolids treatment.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and tackle challenges.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to combine technical and people skills to deliver effective process engineering facilities to stakeholders.
