Kennels & Cattery Assistant – Please Read Before Applying
This is a reliable, physical, hands-on animal care job.
We are not looking for someone who just wants to "work with animals" — we need someone who will turn up on time, every day, ready to work hard.
If you are not punctual, not physically fit, or looking for an easy job, this role is not suitable.
The Reality of the Role
We care for a large number of dogs and cats daily. They rely on us 365 days a year (including Christmas, Bank Holidays and Weekends), so reliability is essential.
This job involves:
* Heavy cleaning and hygiene (kennels, runs, litter trays)
* Being on your feet most of the day
* Lifting, bending and working outdoors in all weather
* Handling dogs of all sizes (including large and strong breeds)
* Feeding, exercising and daily care routines
* Speaking to customers in person and on the phone
It is fast-paced, physical and sometimes very busy — especially during peak season.

Hours
Wednesday to Sunday
8:00am – 3:00pm
During our busy periods, shifts will regularly extend to 4:00pm and occasionally up to 5:00pm, so flexibility is essential.
(No holidays permitted June – September due to peak season)
Permanent position only – not suitable for short-term or casual work.
