As a Crawler Crane Operator at Sarens, you will be a key part of our heavy lifting team. You will help make sure everything is done safely and correctly by providing a high-quality lifting service to our customers’ ensuring priority is given to the safety of employees, customers and the public Job Purpose/Objectives of a Crawler Crane Operator SHEQ & Compliance: Ensure everyone works safely and follows Sarens’ SHEQ standards. Ensure all activities comply with Sarens’ SHEQ standards, policies, instructions, and laws. Daily Operations: Check all necessary documents (e.g., planning instructions, certificates, lifting plans, load charts) before starting work. Study transport routes and sites to ensure they are obstacle-free and accessible. Check local weather conditions beforehand. Load and unload all crane parts. Operate and control the crane independently, following manufacturing instructions. Keep equipment clean, neat, and in good operational condition, including refuelling as needed. Inspect the crane and equipment for damage before, during, and after operations. Perform daily, first-line, and preventive maintenance. Report any damage and irregularities. Fill in and submit Maintenance Checklists and Work Record Sheets on time, getting client signatures if required. Provide feedback to the line or functional Manager on work and potential extra work. Follow Sarens’ standards, company, and client policies and instructions in all tasks and training.
