This is a fixed-term, fast-paced role where the successful HR Practitioner candidate will focus primarily on supporting our line managers with all types of employee relations cases, including absence management, conduct, and capability.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the People Team to deliver on our key objectives and support our employees daily as needed.
What will you do?
* Coach, support, and advise managers and team leaders on managing absence, performance, conduct, and capability issues to ensure high performance across the team.
* Design and implement processes aligned with our ethical ethos, enabling managers and team leaders to manage performance, reward, recognition, and engagement effectively.
* Respond to escalated issues via phone and face-to-face, using your experience to determine the appropriate course of action and escalate when necessary.
* Review and improve people policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance while maintaining flexibility and ethos.
* Support and deliver group-wide People Change projects, including restructures, TUPE, reward reviews, job evaluation, recognition, engagement initiatives, and process design.
* Assist the People team with HR Systems solutions as part of our technology strategy.
* Share best practices across the team and company to lead in managing our people within our unique culture.
* Utilize our people process experiences to continually improve coaching and processes, embodying our ethos and making sound decisions for Ecotricity.
About You
* Experienced HR practitioner passionate about managing employment processes pragmatically and impartially.
* Experience in reward, benefits, job evaluation, and engagement activities is highly beneficial.
* Understanding and experience with HR systems and handling sensitive personal data are necessary.
* Part or full CIPD qualification, with knowledge of legal requirements and best practices.
* Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving skills.
* Excellent relationship-building and networking skills to partner effectively across teams.
* Ability to prioritize, work proactively, and work independently to meet deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Adaptable communication style suitable for diverse audiences.
* Lead by example, open to feedback, and embody the company's values.
