HGV Class 1 Driver – Night Store Distribution Driver (Temp to Perm) Location: West Midlands Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Shift Pattern: Night Shifts – Start times between 17:00 and 22:00 Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour / Approx. £45,000 per annum Millison Chase Limited is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a professional retail store distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and self-motivated driver seeking stable, long-term night work with permanent career prospects. This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with the intention of moving successful candidates into a permanent role as quickly as possible. The standard pathway is permanent placement after 12 weeks, although this may happen sooner depending on performance, attendance, and business needs. Role Overview: This is a night-time store distribution role delivering to retail outlets for a major retail brand. Drivers will work independently as lone workers and must be comfortable managing store deliveries without direct supervision. You will be responsible for opening delivery locations, unloading stock from the vehicle, and moving goods safely into store premises using tail lift equipment and electric pallet movers.
