Staff Product Manager - Private Data / Data Science - London - £150k
Our client is an AI-first scale-up (over 120 employees) developing advanced search and reasoning technology for the life sciences and biotech industries.
They're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own a new product area focused on making large organisations’ internal data searchable, connected, and actionable.
This is a deeply technical PM role, operating at the intersection of product and data science, with ownership across ingestion, search, security, and enterprise workflows.
Responsibilities
* Build products that turn siloed internal data into unified, searchable knowledge.
* Work directly with enterprise customers to understand key data sources, use cases, and user groups.
* Define and deliver secure end-to-end workflows across ingestion, indexing, access control, and identity management.
* Shape deployment models across cloud, VPC, hybrid, and other enterprise environments.
* Translate complex customer needs into clear product decisions and roadmap priorities.
* Drive clarity in a high-ambiguity, high-impact area with many unknowns.
Requirements
* Strong technical grounding — confident discussing architecture, data flows, security, and deployment.
* Experience building or managing data-heavy products (search, ML, analytics, ingestion pipelines, metadata systems, etc.).
* Familiarity with enterprise or multi-tenant environments (cloud, BYOC, on-prem, hybrid).
* Ability to work with business and end users to map workflows, value, and adoption.
* Strong systems thinking — connecting data, users, and workflows into cohesive experiences.
* Thrives in ambiguous environments where the problem and solution need definition.
It's worth noting that for the first few months, you’ll be onsite in the central London office 4–5 days a week to support onboarding and set you up for success, so you’ll need to be comfortable with being in the office during this period.
