Ready to make fast, impactful decisions that keep children safe? Oldham is looking for a passionate Duty & Advice Social Worker to join our multi-agency safeguarding team (MASH) and play a crucial role at the front door of Children’s Services.

The Role As a Duty & Advice Social Worker within our MASH, you will:
Respond to contacts and safeguarding concerns quickly and effectively
Gather information from families, professionals and the public
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to build a full picture of risk
Make confident, evidence-based threshold decisions
Ensure children and families are directed to the most appropriate support or protectionYou’ll need a solid understanding of statutory social work duties and the confidence to make informed safeguarding decisions in a fast-paced environment.
