Working Hours: Full time and Part time hours available
What you'll be doing
The role of the Support Worker is to support individuals to meet their agreed outcomes and to help them remain in their own home, safe and supported. You will work with other professionals, team members, or alone to carry out the care or reablement plan, promoting flexibility, dignity, respect, wellbeing, confidence and independence to provide the best possible quality of life.
You will offer safe and appropriate support in a person-centred way, comply with health and safety, conduct basic risk assessments, and support infection prevention and control. Use an innovative approach to help customers achieve as much independence as possible. Adhere to the code of conduct, staff handbook and Corserv Care policies to promote quality standards and the rights of individuals.
You will maintain accurate and factual records as required by law, evidence actions and outcomes, and ensure safe working practices whether lone working or paired. Monitor health and wellbeing of service users and report concerns to management to safeguard vulnerable adults.
You will support service users with daily living skills, personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping. You will work with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists, and help service users access community opportunities. You will operate in accordance with diverse community needs to ensure equal access to services and pursue ongoing training and development as required.
Corserv Care Company Benefits
* Guaranteed Payment: £12.63 per hour. Overtime may be available. You are always paid for a full shift, even if a client cancels. Time & half for overtime, over 40 hours.
* Guaranteed Paid Travel Time & Mileage: 45p per mile (travel and contact time). After 6 months, potential to join the Car Lease Scheme.
* Paid DBS: Enhanced DBS paid by Corserv Care.
* Pension: Generous employer-contributed pension scheme.
* Annual Leave: 31 days (including Bank Holidays). Pro-rata for part-time; option to buy up to 1 extra week.
* Permanent Workers: Full time and Part time opportunities available.
* Bank Worker: Opportunities to work ad hoc hours on a zero-hours contract to develop skills.
* Hours: Guaranteed two-week rolling pattern with Week 1 and Week 2 rotas for work-life balance. Rounds typically 07:00–14:00, 17:00–22:00; every other weekend required.
* Training and development: Company Induction, Care Certificate, Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support; eLearning; job shadowing; supervision; annual appraisals; potential qualifications (Level 2/3 Health and Social Care).
* Equipment: Uniform, full PPE, work mobile phone, lone-working device.

About you
* Current right to work in the UK
* Understanding of reablement and care provision
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Basic IT skills
* Empathy and a passion to support others
* Excellent attention to detail
* Great time management
* FULL DRIVING LICENCE valid in the UK and access to a vehicle
* Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding service users; Enhanced DBS check required
