Role Overview
TeacherActive is working with a primary school in Brecon that values inclusion and aims to create a safe, engaging learning environment. They are seeking a Residential Support Worker / ALN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This is a temporary, long-term role with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Work 1-on-1 with pupils with ALN, demonstrating empathy and adaptability
* Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and management
* Assess individual pupil needs through attentive listening
* Incorporate differentiation and resilience in approach
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children with ALN
* Desire to inspire and motivate pupils
* Ability to adapt quickly and think on your feet
* Resilient attitude and ability to incorporate differentiation
* Desirable but not essential: TeamTeach, Manual Handling, CPI
Additional Information
Free training provided. Salary range from £83-£90 per day. Shift options include night, day, and evening shifts, with 12-hour days and shorter shifts available. The school caters to pupils with ASD, ADHD, Mental Health needs, among others.
