This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some exposure to production, supply chain, or planning to develop their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This role offers hands-on experience supporting production planning across multiple manufacturing lines, with the opportunity to build a long-term career within supply chain and operations.What's on offer Salary up to £28k-£33k, depending on experienceJoin a growing and well-invested food manufacturing businessSupportive and collaborative operations teamExcellent opportunity for career development within supply chain and planningYour day to dayReporting to the Operations Manager, the Junior Production Planner will support the planning team in ensuring production runs smoothly and customer demand is met efficiently.Key responsibilities will include:Supporting the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly production plansAssisting with converting sales orders and forecasts into production schedulesLiaising with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Procurement teams to help ensure plans are deliveredMonitoring raw material and packaging availability and highlighting potential shortagesUpdating production schedules to reflect changes in demand, downtime, or labour availabilityEnsuring production plans follow food safety and quality requirementsHelping track key performance indicators such as OTIF, waste, and schedule adherenceMaintaining planning data within ERP/MRP systemsSupporting the scheduling of new product development (NPD) and sample runsCommunicating updated production plans to relevant teamsYour essential ingredientsSome experience in production, supply chain, scheduling, or planning (manufacturing or food industry desirable)A good understanding of manufacturing or production environmentsStrong Excel and IT skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems is advantageousStrong organisation and attention to detailGood communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teamsKeen to learn and develop within production planningInterested in finding out more?Contact Paul Muir to discuss this opportunity in complete confidence on T:, or submit an updated CV via the link on the page.By applying for this role, you accept the terms of processing.
