Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Quality Inspector - Instrumentation at Seascale, Sellafield and build new futures. Role Purpose: Perform Quality Assurance inspections to ensure conformity to Client Specifications, Regulations and Engineering Standards. Due to the nature of our projects, all candidates must hold full working rights for the UK, and also be eligible for Security Clearance. What you'll be doing As a Quality Inspector, you will have the following accountabilities; Accepts incoming materials to ensure conformity to Client Specifications, relevant Engineering Standards and Specifications by conducting visual/measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products; recording quality results. Assist in preparation of documentation required to enable the successful handover of plant equipment and electrical systems from construction to commissioning. Accepts the in-process construction of electrical systems by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating any disparities back to the construction supervisor and Line Manager. Accepts the finished product prior to handover from construction to commissioning by confirming conformity to the Clients Specifications and relevant Engineering Standards; conducting visual and measurement tests, any re-work needing to be completed will be communicated back to the construction supervisor. Assist in developing specific project / task quality plans Live the Balfour Beatty Values Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm Who we're looking for The following qualities/experience are essential: Ability to build strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner Must have a methodical and strategic approach to the inspection of materials and recording of results. Must have knowledge of the relevant engineering standards (BS7671). Good at building relationships and able to influence effectively Can demonstrate initiative and resilience 3 Years experience in Electrical Industry; possessing knowledge of various electrical systems and their functions.
