Position Overview
Solutions Consultants at RDT specialise in understanding unique challenges and needs and crafting tailored solutions to address them. They act as a bridge between the technical aspects of a product or service and the practical application within a specific business environment. They are problem solvers, advisors, and strategic partners. They help boost productivity across our organisation, leading to higher profitability and a stronger market position. They are a catalyst for positive change within RDT.
Key Responsibilities
* Thoroughly understand the client’s needs by conducting in‑depth consultations, gathering data, and comprehending pain points.
* Analyse needs to architect a solution, tailoring the product or service to fit those needs and maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
* Ensure investment in the right solutions from the outset to minimise costly trial‑and‑error approaches.
* Collaborate with the client and internal teams to ensure the proposed solution aligns with RDT’s product strategy and the client’s objectives, budget, and timeline.
* Provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients, sharing best practices, industry trends, and strategies that can optimise implementation and utilisation of the proposed solutions.
* Work closely with sales, product development, and project‑management teams to ensure a seamless transition from consultation to implementation.
Technical Skills & Requirements
* 3 years’ experience in the UK personal lines and London Market insurance industry.
Competency Requirements
* High levels of resilience and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, able to manage own workload, identify conflicts and escalates appropriately.
* Good attention to detail, with the ability to approach tasks & problems in a logical manner.
* Natural problem solver with a strong analytical approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal using a variety of methods.
Desired Additional Skills
* Previous experience working with web UIs.
* Knowledge of technical product management, development and testing methodologies.
* Emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Landscape experience.
* Knowledge of low‑code automation tools & SaaS solutions.
* Knowledge of project lifecycle and delivery in a technical environment.
* Understanding of different project methodologies.
* Working knowledge of APIs.
