English Supply Teacher – Crawley

Location: Crawley & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days Salary: Paid to scale – M1 to UPS3 or £130–£150 per day Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

Inspire a Love of English Across Local Secondary Schools

This role is ideal for English teachers who enjoy variety and want the freedom to choose when and where they work. As a supply English teacher, you’ll bring your enthusiasm for language, literature and communication into different classrooms, helping students grow in confidence and develop essential skills.

We’re looking for adaptable, engaging and knowledgeable English teachers to work across secondary schools in Crawley and the surrounding areas. Each placement offers a new environment, new learners and the chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Teaching English across KS3 and KS4

* Delivering engaging lessons in language, literature and writing

* Supporting students’ progress, understanding and enthusiasm for the subject

* Managing the classroom effectively and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere

* Adapting quickly to different schools, routines and class groups

What We’re Looking For

* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching English in secondary schools

* Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management

* Someone reliable, flexible and comfortable in new settings

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
