With a busy, long-term pipeline of Department for Education (DfE) projects, this role offers genuine career progression and long-term stability.
This is a key appointment for someone who wants to be involved in high-profile, technically complex education schemes while developing their career within a supportive, forward-thinking business.
The Opportunity
* Work on DfE-funded education projects from pre-construction through delivery
* Join a company with a healthy order book and strong financial backing
* Be part of a business investing heavily in people, systems, and long-term growth
* Clear and realistic career progression into Planning Manager / Head of Planning routes
* Collaborative working environment with direct access to senior leadership
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, manage, and maintain robust project programmes (Primavera P6)
* Support bid and pre-construction planning for education schemes
* Work closely with project, commercial, and site teams to drive programme certainty
* Provide progress updates, scenario planning, and programme risk analysis
* Influence project strategy and sequencing from an early stage
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within main contracting
* Strong background in education or public sector projects (DfE experience highly beneficial)
* Excellent working knowledge of P6
* Commercially aware, proactive, and confident working across multiple stakeholders

* Exposure to meaningful, legacy projects that make a real social impact
* Competitive salary, car allowance, bonus, and strong benefits package
