Sheridan Maine is seeking a Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager to join an established accountancy firm in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional to lead audit engagements, manage client accounts, and mentor junior staff.
You will work closely with a variety of clients, ensuring high-quality audit and accounts preparation while contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities as a Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager:
* Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
* Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of entities.
* Manage your own client portfolio and build strong professional relationships.
* Supervise, train, and support junior and semi-senior staff members.
* Ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with clients, regulators, and other external parties as necessary.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.
The successful Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager must possess:
* ACA or ACCA qualified with proven audit and accounts management experience.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Proficient in audit software and accounting packages such as CaseWare, Xero, or Sage.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
* A proactive and client-focused approach to work.
* 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
