Position: Pre-Construction Technical Engineer - MEICA

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + package
A Tier One contractor is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer with MEICA expertise to lead technical input during the pre-construction phase of projects in the Southern Water region. This role offers career progression and the chance to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead pre-construction technical activities, ensuring solutions are compliant, buildable, and aligned with client standards.
·Manage surveys, design activities, and technical documentation to define project scopes.
·Oversee the performance of external parties and ensure pre-construction phases are delivered on time and within budget.
·Collaborate with stakeholders, develop tender documents, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
·Conduct technical assurance checks and provide guidance to the project team.
Requirements:
Essential:
·Experience in the water industry and understanding of water treatment processes.
·Degree-level education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA).
·Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
·Proficiency in Office 365 and knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Desirable:
·Familiarity with WIMES Standards and NEC4 contracts.
·EUSR Water Hygiene card, 1st Aid training, and relevant CSCS card.
