*Job Summary*M-Tech Automotive is a busy, well-established independent garage in Westbury. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models. *Responsibilities*
* To diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to carry out repairs accurately.
* Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
* To support junior staff and assist in training junior technicians as skills develop towards head mechanic responsibilities.
* To worrk efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and efficiently.
*Experience*
* Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and use initiative or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* MOT tester qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence
*Desirable for Head Mechanic Progression*
* Demonstrated leadership potential with an interest in advancing into a head mechanic position in the future.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Ability to manage a workload and support a small team.
