Bank Staff Nurse

Please note: Due to the nature of our bank zero hours, casual work agreement, we are unable to sponsor applicants.

Band 5 to 6, £31,049 - £46,580 per annum pro rata.

You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and professional nursing care to individuals in a variety of settings, including mental health inpatient wards, our Crisis Care Centre and community services. You will work flexibly, providing high-quality care as needed to support the staffing requirements of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care plans for patients.
* Administer medications, monitor progress, and assist with clinical procedures.
* Provide support to patients with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or other complex needs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with Trust policies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and contribute to team learning.
* On occasion acting as the Nurse in Charge, providing quality leadership to services.


What We’re Looking For

* Particularly Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability with scope for General Nurses with interest and experience in services provided by the Trust.
* All applicants must be NMC registered as a nurse.
* Experience in mental health, learning disability or other relevant clinical areas.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient care.
* Ability to work flexibly, which may include nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as per the needs of the Trust.
* A compassionate, professional attitude with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well‑being of patients.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in working in Crisis Care Teams or willingness to learn.

Person Specification

Qualification

* Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or General Nurse
* NMC registration

Experience

* Qualified nursing experience in inpatient mental health or learning disability
* Qualified nursing experience Crisis Care
* Knowledge of Mental Health Act
* Knowledge of Patient Centred Care
