The role is to provide face-to-face Occupational Health appointments for employees of a pharmaceutical company.
Your new roleLocation: Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyme (on-site)Commitment: 15 hours per week (2 days between Monday and Thursday) Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (there might be some flexibility with start and finish times)Salary: 50k per annum (pro rata)
Responsibilities include:Support our client's in-house Occupational Health service. Actively participate in clinical governance to maintain and improve standards of service delivery. Work closely with HR and the line manager to ensure successful rehabilitation case management, including restrictions of duties, reasonable adjustments.Manage case referrals (e.g. sickness, absence, rehabilitation)Conducting assessments and advising on the best course of action (e.g. treatment plans, restrictions of duties, reasonable adjustments)Health SurveillanceWorking closely with the HR team and managers, to provide current professional insight around legislative requirements.Proactively feed into the company's wellbeing activities and internal training and review the policies and procedures regarding OH requirements.
Who we're looking for:A registered Occupational Health nurse or RGN with demonstrable experience in an occupational health and wellbeing settingCurrent NMC registrationConfident individual with strong people skillsExperience of working closely with managers to provide clear advice and support for the employee.Competence in spirometry, pulmonary function testing, and audiometry is required.
