As part of our Pharmacy Technician team you will contribute to the dispensary service, undertake medicines reconciliation, checking of patients own medicines for reuse, counsel patients, undertake audit work, complete final accuracy check of prescriptions and support training of pharmacy staff including line management of trainee Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
The Pharmacy Department provides a service to a wide range of patients with diverse needs across a range of specialities. You will be a valued member of the team within the clinical and dispensary services and in return will receive training and support to facilitate career development.
We are offering a comprehensive training package which will develop your skills for you to progress from a Band 4 to 5 Pharmacy Technician. If, upon completion of the training provided, you are able to demonstrate the required competencies you will progress into a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician position.
Qualifications & Competencies
* Medicines Optimisation accredited
* Accuracy Checking accredited
* Willing to undertake additional training to support pharmacy trainees as Educational Supervisor, Expert Witness and/or Practise Supervisor
* Act as a Line Manager for trainee Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.

Visa & Sponsorship
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. For example, applicants for the Senior HCA role must be able to evidence a minimum of 2 years' experience in the same role to qualify for sponsorship. If you are applying using a Graduate visa as your right to work, you must have a minimum of 18 months remaining on your visa at time of application.
