Bank Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Join Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services as a Bank Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic. You will work alongside the Police in custody suites caring for detainees and help vulnerable people in society.
What can you expect to earn?
* £20.50 per hour – 1–2 shifts per month
* £22.50 per hour – 3–5 shifts per month
* £24.50 per hour – 6+ shifts per month
Experience – Essential
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post‑qualification – Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post‑qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service
Licences / Certification
* HCPC/NMC registration (required)
* Driving licence (required)
* Must be a UK resident for 3 years + no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police vetting
What does the role involve?
You will provide physical, mental and wellbeing care to detainees, collect forensic samples for police investigations, maintain accurate records on our computerised systems, assess detainees for release or further detention, administer medication, and collaborate with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime. No previous forensic experience is required – we will provide all training.
