At Steer Commercial, part of the Steer Automotive Group, we’re driven by excellence, led with integrity, and fuelled by innovation. We are now looking for an experienced HGV Panel Technician to join our expert team in delivering first-class commercial vehicle repairs.
About the Role:
As a Panel Technician in our commercial division, you’ll be responsible for carrying out high-quality panel repairs and welding work on HGVs and commercial vehicles. Your craftsmanship and precision will play a key role in restoring vehicles to manufacturer standards and keeping businesses moving.
Key Responsibilities:
14. Perform panel repairs on HGV and commercial vehicles using appropriate methods and materials
15. Carry out welding and metalwork as required, ensuring structural integrity and finish
16. Accurately assess and carry out body repairs in line with job cards and manufacturer guidelines
17. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with health & safety procedures
18. Work collaboratively with workshop colleagues and support team efficiency and quality
What We're Looking For:
19. Proven experience as a Panel Technician in the HGV/commercial vehicle sector
20. Strong skills in panel beating, body repairs, and welding
21. Ability to read and interpret technical repair instructions
22. A passion for high standards and a commitment to continuous improvement
23. Team player with a professional and proactive approach
