Working as the NPD Assistant / Food Innovation New Product Development Coordinator you will play an integral part in bringing new food products from concept through to launch. Working closely with the NPD team, you will gain hands-on experience across the full product development cycle, from initial tastings and sample preparation through to factory trials and product validation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a practical, fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be involved in a mix of office-based tasks and hands-on kitchen and factory work, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. Attention to detail and organisation are key, as the NPD Assistant / Food Innovation New Product Development Coordinator will be managing samples, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the kitchen facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and compliance. DUTIES Your duties as the NPD Assistant / Food Innovation New Product Development Coordinator include: NPD Support: Assist with taste panels, sample preparation, and the organisation of couriers Factory Trials & Launches: Contribute to pre-productions, trials, and the successful launch of new products Stock Management: Oversee sample ordering, PPE replenishment, and ingredient supplies Product Testing: Conduct cooking validations, organoleptic testing, and freeze testing to ensure product quality Hygiene & Safety: Uphold high standards of cleanliness through routine housekeeping, fridge temperature monitoring, and equipment cleaning Relationship Building: Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers Administrative Support: Use Microsoft Office applications to complete tasks efficiently and accurately CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you will need: Previous factory or food manufacturing experience (essential) Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to supporting the NPD function Adequate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Excellent organisational and communication skills The ability to work independently while being a reliable team player HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
