Senior Project Manager – Complex Product Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of complex new product development projects and programmes from initial concept through to volume production.
You’ll be accountable for delivering high-visibility technology solutions within scope, time, and budget. Working closely with senior technical leads and product managers, you will bring strong organisational leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead complex product development projects to successful delivery, balancing scope, cost, time, and quality.
* Apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies depending on project requirements.
* Partner with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Product Strategy.
* Proactively identify and manage project risks and opportunities with robust mitigation plans.
* Facilitate regular project meetings and enforce accountability across teams.
* Promote a positive team culture, encouraging trust, communication, and shared commitment.
* Ensure adherence to defined project management processes and continually seek process improvements.
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, escalating issues as needed.
* Negotiate resource availability and ensure optimal utilisation across projects.
* Embed quality throughout the project lifecycle and ensure delivery meets technical, regulatory, and commercial standards.
* Support collaboration with external partners via Statements of Work and technical specifications.
Must-Have Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Project management certification
* Proven experience delivering complex hardware and software product development projects.
* Strong background in embedded systems, electronics, and software development practices.
* Solid understanding of Agile delivery environments.
* Familiarity with configuration management, engineering change processes, and product release practices.
* Experience in defining and managing outsourced development via technical and commercial specifications.
* Background in telecommunications, including TETRA, 5G, or LTE.
* Experience with regulatory compliance
* Understanding of cost-sensitive manufacturing environments and business case development.
* Familiarity with P&L considerations and financial decision-making.
* Experience managing multi-site or multicultural project teams.
