We are a successful family run company established in 1983 and we supply food packaging to the food industry. We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us on a permanent basis in East Sussex.
The successful candidate will earn from £26,000 to £28,000 per year dependant on experience and will benefit from an annual bonus dependant on company and personal performance.
The successful candidate will work in our Warehouse and will deliver goods to our customers in one of our new sign written Ford Transit vans.
Hours of work are 8am-5:00pm Monday to Friday, some work outside of these hours may be offered to you, but these are not compulsory.
Role Requirements
* Previous Warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
* A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
* Experience driving a van.
* A Forklift License is a bonus.
* Basic skills in literary/numeracy are required.
* The physical capability for heavy lifting.
* You will be able to work on your own initiative.
* You will be a good communicator and work well as part of a team.
* You will be reliable and punctual.
* Use of electronic stock control systems.
Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing orders and delivering orders to customers. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
We are looking for someone energetic and looking for long term employment.
Your day-to-day tasks may include:
* Taking delivery of goods and storing them
* Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
* Checking for damaged or missing items
* Moving stock by hand or with machines
* Keeping stock records
* Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
* Delivering orders efficiently to customers
* Ensuring all work undertaken is in accordance with the current health and safety standards
You'll work up to 40 hours a week.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Lunch 1pm-2pm)
You need your own transport to get to work
You'll work in a warehouse. You will be provided with the appropriate PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment) You will be provided with Forklift Training and Health & Safety Training.
