The Senior buyer supports the business by delivering compliant, timely, and value-driven procurement of goods and services in line with approved procurement processes. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, technical specifications, and project requirements, translating these into effective procurement strategies. The Senior Buyer leads sourcing activities including, RFI, RFQ, and tenders, applying strong technical and commercial understanding to engage with appropriate suppliers. The role contributes to the development and optimisation of the supplier base by identifying new vendors and driving value across safety, quality, delivery, innovation, and cost. With solid knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and strong SAP capability, the Senior Buyer advises on appropriate purchasing solutions (purchase orders, framework agreement, or other contracting solutions), ensuring effective contract placement, compliance, and actively managing and developing strategic supplier relationships.
