About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Materials Planner, based at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber. The position is full time, working 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00.
The Materials Planner is responsible for planning and ordering of products across multiple categories required to keep the business in stock and the factory producing without shortages.
Key responsibilities:
1. Plan and place purchase orders with suppliers based on previous usages, customer orders whilst adhering to suppliers lead times and shutdowns to ensure we have sufficient inventory levels across all sites.
2. Support with all new products and work to ensure launch dates are met.
3. Work with suppliers, transport and goods in to ensure all deliveries are made on time and in full. This may also involve expediting deliveries accordingly.
4. Experience using ERP and MRP systems.
5. Manage MOQs with suppliers and the Buyers omitting overstocking but maintaining appropriate safety stocks.
6. Support with any NCRs to help eliminate and resolve issues as efficiently as possible.
About You
Desired skills & knowledge:
7. Previous Materials Planning experience
8. Excellent communication and relationship management abilities with internal departments and external suppliers
9. Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines
