RMN Unit Manager
Essential: experience and understanding of Complex Dementia Care in a nursing home setting.
16 hours of this post are supernumerary; the balance is to be on the floor.
The Unit Manager assists the Care Manager with professional and administrative duties and is responsible to the Manager for care/nursing matters in the Home, while keeping the Care Manager informed at all times.
In the absence of the Care Manager, the Unit Manager leads the team and manages nursing/care in the Home, maintaining high standards and staff performance.
Flexibility is required for working nights, weekends, and some Bank Holidays to ensure standards and coverage are maintained.
The Unit Manager may also assist with visits and inspections when off duty.
Trainee nurses (qualified outside the EU) must hold a letter from the NMC confirming their eligibility to sit the OSCE exam.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A qualified RMN with a valid NMC pin or a Student Nurse outside the EU with a letter from the NMC confirming eligibility for the OSCE exam.
* Previous experience as a Senior Nurse, Staff Nurse, or Registered Nurse in a Care Home is desirable but not essential.
* A committed and organized approach.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts.
