Description ABOUT THE ROLE The role of test analyst is to work on a broad range of technologies across multiple projects and changes, to contribute to and produce Test Plans, results analysis and Test closure reports. This role requires experience with the following testing techniques; Accessibility testing, Functional system testing, User Acceptance testing, End to End/Integration testing, Performance and Load testing, Regression testing and technical component testing. The role reports into the Test Manager and works closely with members of Digital, Technology and Transformation to identify, document and execute relevant tests linked to business requirements and solution designs. ABOUT YOU To be successful for the role, candidates should be able to demonstrate they can carry out the following responsibilities - Create technical and detailed test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications, such as accessibility, reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability. Utilise technical test toolsets to produce and maintain test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services. Execute complex tests, record and analyse actions and results and maintain a defect register. Author detailed test reports containing robust management information on test progress, anomalies, risks and issues, relating these to the project scope, design and deliverables. Provide the Test Manager with data, information and analysis of test performance and outcomes, to enable an accurate assessment of pre performance and expected production performance of technical services and solutions. Work closely with Digital, Technology & Transformation teams to ensure testing is closely aligned to the University and DTT Strategy, architectural standard, requirements, directives and scope. Qualifications First degree or equivalent, preferably in a discipline relevant to the role or proven relevant professional experience. ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) would be an advantage.
