Overview

Job Title: Residential Development Solicitor c.3-6PQE

Location: Southampton

Are you a skilled Solicitor with a passion for residential development? Join our client’s prestigious Residential team, one of the largest in its sector, as they support a diverse range of clients in the Living Sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work with PLCs, regional and SME house builders, registered providers of affordable housing, land promoters, and PRS investors & developers on residential and mixed-use developments.


What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will benefit from significant growth opportunities within the residential development sector. You will engage with high-profile clients and participate in high-value development work, including:

* Drafting and negotiating conditional contracts and transfers
* Advising on conditional options and rights of pre-emption
* Collaborating on development agreements and collaboration agreements

Expect a dynamic work environment where you will have ample opportunity for client interaction. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is essential, as is contributing to the team’s growth through business development initiatives. You will assist with organising client events, author articles for our website and other publications, and partake in various marketing activities.


Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

* A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience as a Solicitor (England & Wales)
* Experience in residential development work, ideally from a large regional or city firm
* Knowledge of the UK living sector, with expertise in house-building and/or strategic land (experience in build-to-rent and affordable housing is a plus)
* Proven ability to manage existing client relationships
