Vision for Education is working in close partnership with a large primary school in Ashford, currently recruiting for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine desire to support pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to provide one-to-one or small group support, adapt learning materials, and promote engagement and progress for children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with a range of SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
* Assist in developing and adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
* Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (in school or alternative settings).
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* An understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential.
