We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the credit process for a group of companies with a combined turnover of approximately £350m. The principal responsibilities will be • Managing the credit management function and overseeing the credit control function. • Leading and motivating the credit control team. • Overseeing the effective collection of both invoices and applications for payment. • Liaising with surveyors and commercial managers to ensure all outstanding debts are recovered. • Preparation of weekly/monthly and annual cash flow forecasts • Maintaining credit insurance policies and procedures. • Set and monitor credit limits. • Where required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion. • Keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques. • Deal with internal queries about payments. • Prepare monthly reports for jobs and sales invoice debtors. • Report to Finance Director on a weekly/monthly basis on outstanding accounts and cashflow. Ideally the successful candidate will have the qualifications and experience as outlined below: • Confident experienced Credit Control Manager with a minimum of 3 years management experience • Computer literate, knowledge of Coins would be advantageous. • Possesses a good understanding of and ability for Microsoft Excel • Excellent communication skills • Good numeracy skills • Ability to manage projects to agreed timescales and produce written reports. • Ability to plan and organize workloads to meet deadlines • Commercial awareness in regards to contractual arrangements and the interpretation of contract documents.
