We are looking for an experienced EHS & Compliance Manager to support a busy manufacturing environment in Portsmouth. This is a key role for someone who can drive workplace safety, environmental compliance and internal standards while helping to build a strong, positive improvement culture.
The Role
Develop, implement and maintain EHS and compliance policies and procedures.
Carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments across the site.
Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Support and deliver training to promote safe working practices and compliance awareness.
Work closely with the Quality Manager on QMS, site inspections and internal audits.
Monitor and report EHS/compliance data, actions and performance metrics to management.
Support emergency preparedness, environmental initiatives and 5S/housekeeping standards.About You
Experience in EHS, compliance, HSE or a similar manufacturing/engineering support role.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001, with knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 highly desirable.
NEBOSH qualification preferred, or demonstrable hands-on EHS experience.
Confident with audits, investigations, reporting and delivering training.
Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and work across departments.
Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.What’s on Offer
Salary of £40,000 – £48,000 depending on experience.
