Job title: Training Specialist at GE Aerospace


Overview

The Training and Early Careers Department at GE Aerospace Wales is looking for a dynamic and passionate Training Specialist to lead the development of the next generation of people leaders. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery, designing leadership development pathways and facilitating training sessions across all levels of the organisation within the aerospace industry.

This position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about people development, learning, and driving organisational growth. You will work with apprentices, early-career professionals, aspiring leaders, and senior executives to unlock potential and help achieve career goals.


Role and Responsibilities

* Develop and implement structured development pathways and training programs tailored to all pay bandings.
* Design and update training materials, including slide decks, activities, and e-learning content.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts and senior trainers to ensure training content aligns with organisational goals.
* Coordinate and deliver training programs for apprentices, placement students, graduate trainees, early-career professionals, emerging and aspiring leaders, new team leaders and managers, and senior/executive-level leaders.
* Facilitate classroom-based and virtual training sessions, adapting delivery to suit diverse audiences.
* Gather and analyse feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness and learner experience.
* Maintain accurate training records, schedules, and attendance logs using the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
* Promote development opportunities through internal communications and presentations.
* Participate in learning and development events, workshops, and internal projects as needed.


Qualifications and Experience

* Educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience in Learning and Development.
* Proven experience delivering presentations to groups (virtual and in-person).
* Basic understanding of leadership principles and behaviours; formal training is advantageous but not required.
