Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Urmston Primary School

We are currently seeking a dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant, inclusive primary school in Urmston. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.
In this role, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculum, offer targeted support to pupils, and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.

Your Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, both in class and during interventions
* Help plan and prepare lesson materials and learning activities
* Contribute to a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Deliver structured interventions for pupils with additional or SEND needs
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development
* Monitor progress and assist in reporting pupil outcomes
* Maintain open communication with colleagues, parents, and carers

* An experienced HLTA or a highly skilled teaching assistant ready to step up
* Confident leading groups and covering lessons where necessary
* Knowledgeable in primary curriculum delivery across key stages

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
