PROMAN UK are recruiting a Commercial Manager to join the Marine and Tunnelling (M&T) team at our Avonmouth site, supporting delivery of the landmark.

In this role, you'll take ownership of commercial strategy and delivery across a major section of M&T works, ensuring we stay on track to deliver value, quality, and performance across the board. You will provide strong leadership to the commercial team and be instrumental in ensuring cost-efficiency, commercial risk management, and stakeholder satisfaction, while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the preparation of commercial reports and earned value assessments
Overseeing procurement planning and supply chain performance
Leading change control and managing commercial risk and opportunity
Supporting recruitment, performance management, and development of commercial staff
Providing input into estimating, value engineering, and planning functions
Supporting dispute resolution and liaising with legal and contractual experts
Driving Zero Harm initiatives and embedding a strong safety culture
We're looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience in commercial management on large-scale infrastructure or civils projects
Strong capability in contract negotiation, risk management, and change control
A commercial mindset with the ability to balance detail with strategic priorities
A collaborative, people-first approach to leadership and team development
Confidence in managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of civil engineering technical solutions and procurement strategies
